Create a Google Site
Google Sites can be used to create websites that contain pages that are made up of gadgets and Google Workspace elements such as shared calendars, documents, videos and more. You can set a theme for a site, add images and formatting to brand the site, and share the site with collaborators and viewers as required.
Launching Google Sites
Show the Sites home page by visiting sites.google.com or clicking on the app launcher button on any Google Workspace screen and choosing Sites.
Creating a blank Google Site
To create a new site, click on the Blank option under Start a new site to create a new site that isn't based on a templete.
A new site will be created and displayed on screen. To name the new site:
Click on the Enter site name link near the top-left corner of the site home page
Type a new name for the site
Press Return
To set a name for the home page of the site:
Click on the Your page title placeholder
Type the new title for the page
Click away from the placeholder when complete
As with docs, sheets and slides, your work in the new Google Sites will be saved automatically as you build your site - there is no need to click on a Save button after making a change. To close a site and return to the Sites home page, click on the Sites icon in the top-left corner of the screen:
Creating a site from a template
As well as creating a blank site, you can create sites based on pre-set templates. This will create a new site with content alraedy added, which you can change as required.
To create a site based on a template, choose the template you want to use on the Sites home page.
A new site will be created that contains pages that can be customised as required.
Click on any text to type your own text
Click on any image placeholder to add your own image which you can upload from your computer or add from Google Drive
