When composing a message in Gmail, you can address the message to anyone in your corporate directory, or to any email address or stored contact. You can copy the message to other addresses, or can send a blind carbon copy (bcc) so that the address you are sending it to will not appear in the message itself. You can format the message text and insert images and attachments.Â
To compose a new message, click on the Compose button on the left-hand side of the Gmail screen.
The Compose Message pane will be displayed:
To address the message, click to the right of To and type the name or email address of the person you wish to send the message to
To copy another person into the message, click on Cc and type the name or email address of the person to copy the message to
To sent a blind carbon copy, click on Bcc and type the name or email address of the person to copy the message to without their name appearing in the message itself
Enter a Subject for the message
Click in the main part of the message and type all message text
Click on Send to send the message when complete
To compose the message in full screen view, click on the Full Screen button in the top-right corner of the message pane. To create a new browser window for your message, hold Shift and click on this button.
