Compose a new message

When composing a message in Gmail, you can address the message to anyone in your corporate directory, or to any email address or stored contact. You can copy the message to other addresses, or can send a blind carbon copy (bcc) so that the address you are sending it to will not appear in the message itself. You can format the message text and insert images and attachments. 

To compose a new message, click on the Compose button on the left-hand side of the Gmail screen.

The Compose Message pane will be displayed:

To compose the message in full screen view, click on the Full Screen button in the top-right corner of the message pane. To create a new browser window for your message, hold Shift and click on this button.
