Install Google Drive for Desktop

Google Drive for Desktop allows you to access your My Drive and Shared Drive folders and files from Windows Explorer, allowing you to view and edit files directly from within Windows.

To install Google Drive for Desktop :

You will now be prompted to log into Google Workspace:

Click on the arrows to view the information presented about Drive for Desktop. When complete, click on the link to Open Google Drive Folder to view your Google Drive files.

Your My Drive and Shared Drive folders will display in Windows Explorer. Double-click on a folder to open it to explore your Drive folders. 

Unlike Drive Sync, its predecessor, Google Drive for Desktop only downloads documents once you open them, taking up minimal file space while allowing you to browse your files and access the documents you need.
