If you need to forward a document on to someone via email, you can do so from within the document and choose the format in which to send the document. You can also quickly send an email to everyone that a document is shared with, if you wish to communicate with all collaborators in one step.
To send the current document as an attachment:
Click on the File menu
Choose Email
Choose Email this file
Choose whether you wish to receive a copy of the email
Click on the To line and type the name or email address of each person you wish to send the file too - suggestions will be listed as you type
Type an optional Message to accompany the file
Click on the drop-down arrow and choose the format to send the file attachment in e.g. PDF or Microsoft Word
Click on Send
To send an email to everyone that a document is shared with:
Click on the File menu
Choose Email
Choose Email Collaborators
Choose the type of collaborators to send it to e.g. Viewer only, or Editor only
Choose whether you wish to receive a copy of the email
Amend the subject as required - this will be the document name by default
Type a Message
Click on Send
